Jardine Crib Recalled After 4 Children Get Trapped
A massive recall was announced Tuesday morning for Jardine cribs that were being sold at stores like Toysrus and Babiesrus. The recall includes about 320,000 cribs that were sold between January 2002 and May of 2008.
These particular cribs were manufactured in China and Vietnam by Jardine Enterprises and sold in the US by Toys r us and their retail stores.
The recall went into effect when it was learned of reports that 4 children had become trapped in the crib slates. Shortly after, about 42 other complaints of broken slats and spindles were reported. The wooden slants or spindles for the crib would break and then the children would manage to work their way through this new gap trying to exit the crib. The recall was issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission acting head, Nancy Nord. Nord and the CPSC is very serious about consumer safety and especially when it concerns babies and toddlers.
Toys r us spokesperson Kathleen Waugh also went on record stating the company has removed all Jardine cribs from their store floors when they first became aware of the complaints. Nord commends Toys r us for taking immediate and appropriate action in light of the situation.

OK, I have a stupid question. They want me to send the mattress supports back and in two weeks I will get a voucher for a new crib. What the hell will my child be sleeping in for those two weeks?
Not to mention they state to stop using the crib immediately.
So if I go buy a crib now will Babies r us refund my money once I bring the voucher in?
